“Organic, eclectic…spontaneous!
Jazz singer Judy Chamberlain solidly
affirms the music’s far-reaching,
continuing vitality.”
Don Heckman, Los Angeles Times
“Judy Chamberlain is a singer who’s
always a pleasure to hear. In part,
because her astonishing repertoire
makes every performance a
fascinating journey through a
century of song. But even more
so because she brings such care,
authenticity and musicality to
everything she touches.”

Friday, July 9, 2010 Wherever we go, we keep hearing that there is nothing like us anywhere anymore.
We know a LOT of music, and we play it all very, very well. But we do so much more than just show up and play some music.
We believe that the client comes first. And we'll move heaven and earth to give our clients the event of a lifetime. What makes us different from other bands and orchestras is that we care more about our customers than we do about making a sale. I'm not sure this kind of customer care will translate onto the Internet, but I hope it will. If the client asks for something that will not work, I try to educate them about what WILL work. I spend a lot of time with my clients.
Incorporating live music into the fabric of an event is a delicate and delicious task.
I was a food critic for many years, and my articles were never "puff" pastry. I told it like it was. I do the same thing with music.
Live music is a beautiful thing. Because it isn't "canned," it can move from moment to moment to express joy, sorrow, romance, love,... |

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 Having an awards banquet and putting a dance floor down in front of the stage? Be sure to encourage people to dance between dinner courses, and don't wait until after the awards ceremony to begin the danceing. Your guests will be long gone.

Thursday, May 27, 2010 Band in a box?
Boxing your band in?

DJ takes over and everyone runs out the door?

Monday, May 17, 2010 Live music for weddings and events usually requires more preparation than it takes to allocate a corner of the room to a DJ -- or plug in a microphone and put a speaker's podium on a stage for an awards banquet.
Ever wonder why DJ's... |
Saturday, May 8, 2010 We play all the cool tunes of the Twentieth Century!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 Is your wedding style simple or opulent?
Either way, personality is a key element of a wonderful wedding.

Friday, April 16, 2010 What makes live music more than just a band showing up and playing some tunes?
One of the key elements of live music -- as opposed to bands that play to "tracks" and DJ's pushing buttons -- is an undertanding of the words and melody that... |
Monday, March 8, 2010 When it comes to great performances, phrasing is everything. It's what makes Tony Bennett so delightful, and Frank Sinatra had it in spades. So did Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and others from their generation, mostly gone now.
And when you hire a... |
